Onyx Recruitment was established in April 2002 by Ian Hardy, initially to specialise in Finance and Accountancy recruitment. Since then our range of services has expanded and in addition to our Finance division, the Onyx Office Recruitment division now deals with a wide range of office based opportunities.

What we do

We introduce Permanent and Interim / Temporary staff to clients throughout the UK and abroad. Our clients range from FTSE 250 to SME organisations and we successfully deal with opportunities at all levels from Board level appointments to Clerical roles.

Lucy Whelan

Lucy's first experience of Recruitment was in 2001 when she worked for Michael Page in St Albans. Since then she has worked for Hewlett Packard as a Team / Service Delivery Manager and as an Operations / Area Sales Manager for Regus. She then decided to make the move back into Recruitment, joining Onyx in March 2010. Lucy's extensive client list ranges from SMEs to blue chip organisations located nationwide. Her areas of expertise include Executive Management, Sales & Marketing, Advertising, Publishing, Media, Human Resources, Secretarial PA's, Customer Service, Call Centre and Administration Recruitment.

Ian Hardy

Managing Director with eighteen years Recruitment experience based in London & the Home Counties. Before establishing Onyx Recruitment, Ian enjoyed developing an extensive portfolio of clients and candidates whilst working at Robert Half, Accountants On Call / Adecco, Farrer Barnes and The Corporate Services Group.

Michelle Theuma

Director with twelve years Recruitment experience gained at Michael Page, Robert Half and since 2003 with Onyx Recruitment. Michelle runs the Luton office and oversees recruitment in the Home Counties and across the UK. With a successful track record in recruiting for senior interim and temporary accountancy vacancies, Michelle then branched out into permanent recruitment and has forged a reputation for providing a professional, supportive and committed service.
