For senior level positions, we operate on an exclusive Retained Search basis. We will only work on a limited number of search assignments at any one time to ensure we honour our commitment of a speedy delivery process while maintaining a high-level of quality.
In contrast to working on a Contingency, non-exclusive basis, this approach allows us to invest our resources in identifying passive candidates as well as those who are already active in the marketplace, working to an agreed timescale rather than entering into a race to be first to recommend the candidates who are already on many databases. To ensure we identify the best and most relevant Executives, we collaborate with other experienced search partners both in the UK and around the world, ensuring a truly exhaustive search on your behalf.
We will represent your business in a professional and confidential manner and will engage with you throughout the process, starting with agreeing a tailor-made search strategy with you, through to candidate onboarding. For the process to work, we also need your commitment, particularly your investment in spending time at the outset discussing your requirements with us to ensure that both you and we fully understand the scope of the role, the person specification and from a cultural point of view what the “best fit” looks like.
Our success is based on the long-term commitment and impact of the person hired, therefore we are motivated to help secure a lasting, successful executive hire for you.
Should the engagement of the successful candidate terminate within the first six months from the first day worked by the candidate, or should the candidate not actually commence the engagement with the company, Onyx Recruitment will endeavour to resource a replacement candidate at no additional charge to the company.
Your investment for this process is spread across three instalments, but unlike most search firms we believe the bulk of the fee should only be payable when the successful candidate accepts your offer of employment. Therefore 20% of the agreed fee is payable upon instruction, 20% on presentation of the shortlist and 60% on written acceptance of the offer.
