This London based investment firm is looking to support their team with the appointment of an Interim Vice President of Fund Accounting.  This is initially an interim contract (minimum 4 months) and would suit someone with experience of overseas Fund Admin or Investment Management /Hedge Fund/PE sectors ideally at VP level.

This is initially an interim role paying c £500 per day and ideally, we are looking for a Candidate who can start quickly (maximum 2 weeks’ notice) and there is future potential for the role to become permanent.  The business operates a hybrid working model 3 days in the office, 2 remotely.


Responsible for supervising and training of AVP fund accountants
Liaise with operation and Product control team on daily profit and loss reconciliations between the business and the Fund Administrator and assist with independent valuation price testing as needed
Understand and take responsibility for all aspects of the NAV calculation including fee calculations, profit and loss allocations, accounting for complex financial instruments and fund structures, documentation review and ad hoc management requests.
Verify and maintain investor management tier structure based on aggregate investor relationship classifications and ensure investor capitals transactions are booked appropriately
Maintain daily profit and projections of multiple Fund structures used by Senior Management
Review due diligence performed by AVP Fund accountants of all broker/ counterparty reconciliations prepared by Fund Administrator
Review financial statements and associated reports prepared by Administrator as needed.
Work with fund controller on coordination and hedging of foreign denominated share classes with trading desk, including settlement and monthly roll of forward positions
Assist, as assigned, in preparing audit schedules, financial statements, or other reports assigned by management as needed.
Work with the Auditor on ad hoc audit requests as needed
Review of non-trade expense schedules prepared by Administrator and the logging and maintenance of Non-Trade Expense Invoices, including obtaining the appropriate signatures needed for payment
Assist with the review of Investor Statements ensuring investor balances agree to share register and internal NAV per share information

Reporting to the US based Director of Fund accounting you will be working with the team on a wide variety of deliverables including NAV close, Month end process, Audited Financial Statements, Compliance filings and investor reporting.
