This high profile Business Services organisation is recruiting an HR Advisor on a permanent basis in Chichester.
Reporting to the HR Manager you will be responsible for supporting the County Council providing professional HR support and advice to your Stakeholders in relation to the Education sector. This will include complex ER casework within the parameters of Client policies, procedures and Employment Law.
This is a permanent position based in Chichester offering £32,000 + 23 days holidays + benefits. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9 am - 5.30 pm.
Provide advice to colleagues and clients on complex and non-complex teachers terms and conditions in conjunction with the burgundy book
Provide advice to colleagues and clients on non-teaching staff terms and conditions in conjunction with the green book
Provide advice to colleagues and clients on non-education terms and conditions in conjunction with the clients own policies and procedures
Record all cases onto the case management system (SAP/K2) and also within the share point site
Provide sound advice and to give support either via the telephone, email or face to face to the client on complex employee relations casework such as absence, capability, discipline, grievance, probation, appeals and employment tribunals
Provide sound advice and to give support to the client either via the telephone, email or face to face on projects such as restructures, redundancy and TUPE transfers ensuring that they progress in accordance with client procedures
Evaluate and provide feedback in respect of closed cases in accordance with agreed procedures to enable the provision of data to the HR client in respect of contract monitoring and training and development needs of the client and policy/procedural changes
Attend client sites across West Sussex and the South for meetings such as investigations, hearings, redundancy/restructure consultations and TUPE transfers.
Experience of providing quality advice and guidance on high risk ER work is essential and consulting, negotiating and liaising with trade unions/staff representative groups would be highly advantageous.
The role requires a strong communicator with extensive Schools knowledge and proven experience in pay & reward evaluation structures.
