Description

This £100 mill t/o Facilities Management business is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Clerk to cover maternity leave on a 12-month Fixed Term contract.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager you will be supporting him with his workload and supervising the four AP Clerks in his absence.

 

Responsibilities

Working alongside the team to maintaining an efficient and accurate Accounts Payable function across all trading companies in the Group
Ensure financial integrity of the controls, reporting, system, and other processes within the Payables and Cash related functions
Assist in all areas of the finance department and to ensure data is available to all stakeholders in an accurate and effective manner
Take control and responsibility of high-profile sites, becoming a point of contact for Account Directors and Ops staff relating to these and establishing and building healthy relationships
Be the point of contact for x4 AP staff and oversee workflow of team in absence of AP Manager
Evolve understating and eventually take ownership of company Bank Reconciliations
Process company Expenses and Credit Card processes
Assist existing team for ensuring purchase ledger is fully processed up to date.Handling payments to suppliers and offering support to Operations regarding supplier issues
Assisting in the upkeep of Negative Creditors

Experience Requirements

If you are a skilled Senior AP Clerk with excellent communication skills and the resilience and tenacity to deal with tough queries and lay the foundations to help build a more efficient team then this could be the opportunity for you.

The successful applicant will be an experienced AP clerk looking for that next step of responsibility, exposure to more high-profile tasks and career progression. You should be well organised, proactive with strong time management and presentation skills and above all highly motivated with a keen eye for detail yet able to summarise key information and see the ‘big picture’.
